Over the past year, our Elders and Staff have been seized by a vision to expand the ministry of Bethlehem Church. There are so many needs and so many opportunities. NOW is the time for us to begin to take our next steps as a Church. Pray with us about our next ministry steps called...Chapter Two.
|
Chapter Two has three key components:
- Prayer. Please pray for our families, our Church, and our community. We believe that God is going to do some amazing things.
- Service. We encourage you to find a place of service where you can use your Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in our Church and in our world. Jesus said that He did not come to be served, but that He came to serve.
- Finances. We invite you to make a regular one year financial contribution to Chapter Two, over and above your normal gifts to Bethlehem Church. These gifts will go to fund three major ministry initiatives we sense the Lord calling us to do together.

Chapter Two will fund three main initiatives:
- Reaching Students. An estimated 90% of all Middle School and High School Students in Gaston County are not involved in a Church. Therefore, we will invest in our Student and Sports Ministries, to give them the tools they need to reach our kids. This will include upgrading our Student Building (the WHEREHOUSE) and our Sports Ball Fields.
- Starting New Campuses. We are outgrowing our new campus! We believe the best option for us is to begin new campuses in other areas of Gaston County and our surrounding communities. We anticipate renting a school, or using an existing building in another part of our area.
- Missions. Scripture teaches us that we are to reach out to the entire world. We will be partnering with churches, orphanages and other mission opportunities around the world, as well as right here in our own community.

| Focus on Four - |
- Connect with Christ
Goal: GROW closer to Christ.

- Study your Bible, pray, live according to Biblical financial principles, personal worship, corporate worship, weekly sermon messages, Bible memorization, fasting, etc.

2. Connect with Community
Goal: JOIN - Get in a group. |
 |
- Especially in a large church, making relationships in a small group environment is vital, especially for accountability, belonging and care.

3. Connect with Calling
Goal: SERVE. |
 |
- Serve regularly on a service team, supporting and helping within the Bethlehem church family, as well as serving consistently in the community.

4. Connect with Compassion
Goal: REACH - Have a heart for people. |
 |
- Lead people to Christ through Invest & Invite and relational evangelism. Share the love of Christ through local and world missions.
